Shanghai Shangqi Group Co., Ltd. (Shanghai Electric), referred to as Shangqi Group, is the headquarter company of Shanghai Shangqi Group Test Equipment Co., Ltd. Originated in 1936, some members are the former National Machinery Ministry and Shanghai backbone enterprises, and it is one of the early domestic enterprises producing electrical equipment.
Since 1984, members of the group have successively established joint ventures and cooperation with German STAHL, SIEMENS, Mannesmann, American Westinghouse, Timage, Turbine Air Systems, Wyman-Gordon forgings, French Schneider, Italian Dalmine, Swiss ABB, Spanish Tubacex, Japanese Mitsubishi and other international companies.
